Dental Plan
101... A beginner's guide!
| A discount
dental plan is designed for individuals and
families looking to save money on dental care
services. A participating provider in the dental
plan has agreed to accept a discounted fee
as payment-in-full for services performed. As a
dental plan member, you simply show your
membership card when visiting any participating
plan provider to receive |
| dental services
at discounted fees. Note: A
discount dental plan is NOT an insurance
plan, but a discount
program. | |
How to Get Your
Dental Plan... |
When choosing a discount dental
plan, it's important to make an informed and
confident decision. Our website searches are
designed to help you browse and compare different
plans available in your area, allowing you to find
one that offers the greatest benefit to you and/or
your family.
Once you decide which dental
plan you would like to join, enrolling is quick
and easy. You may apply payment instantly online
with your credit card or electronic check. After
you have paid for your plan, you instantly receive
your permanent membership cards and fulfillment
package online. Everything you need is provided
online in the provider's Member's
Area. |
How to
Save With Your Dental
Plan... |
Once you have joined a
discount dental plan, you can start using it
almost instantly. There is no waiting period, and
benefits for most dental plans activate within two
business days after enrollment.
Once you've
printed out your membership card and online
membership package in the dental plan member's
area, you can call to make an appointment. Using
the dentist search, finding and contacting a
participating provider is easy. When contacting
the participating provider, be sure to mention the
dental plan listed on your membership card. When
you arrive for your appointment, present your
dental plan card to the receptionist. This will
ensure that you are charged discounted fees
according to your selected dental plan.
Most services your participating dental
plan provider completes have a corresponding
American Dental Association (ADA) code. Each
4-digit ADA code describes a specific dental
procedure. Payment for services performed is due
at the time of service. There are no paperwork
hassles or claim forms to submit.
Many
dental plans also offer ways to save on more than
dental care, offering discounts on prescriptions,
vision, and more. We recommend using our
comparison chart if you are interested in joining
a dental plan with added
benefits. |
